Koegel's Recipes

Recipe Name:Baked beans and sausage
From the Kitchen of:Kathy Tuttle
Ingredients:1 lb polish sausage small slices
1 lb chopped bacon
1 lb crumbled breakfast sausage
1 lg chopped onion chopped
1 lg green pepper chopped (optional)
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c molassas
1 can chopped tomatoes
1 large jar mix cooked beans or kidney beans
Directions:Cook small chopped bacon til brown and drain. Cook breakfast sausge til brown and drain. Brown sliced Koegel's polish sausage. Add bacon and breakfast sausage/simmer. Cook chopped onion and green pepper in olive oil for 2 minutes. Add onion/green pepper to meat pan/simmer low for 5 minutes. In large roaster pan add 1 large jar of beans, brown sugar, molasses and tomatoes. Add onion, pepper and meat mixture. Stir all in the roaster pan and bake at 250 degrees for two hours.
